The show was first broadcast in 1960 and lasted for two years before returning in 1964 as an hour-long series renamed Secret Agent. Patrick McGoohan (The Prisoner, BRAVEHEART) starred as international man of mystery John Drake, a special NATO operative travelling the globe on top-secret espionage missions.
