The house, now demolished was Radnor Hall, Allum Lane, Elstree. As the house was demolished shortly after the episode was filmed I can only provide this other black & white photo, taken from the archives at the Borehamwood Library. Drake arrives in Checkslovakia by taxi which breaks down and is pulled up in a layby. As the driver attempts to fix the car, the British Ambassador passes by and gives Drake a lift into Prague. This layby is located on the banks of Llyn Gwynant, on the A498 heading towards Snowdon, Gwynedd.

Drake and Pearson stop at a cafe for a drink, but they soon attract the attention of the police and their car is sabotaged. Drake and Pearson head for the border in the stolen police car, but turn back as it is heavily guarded. The anti-tank blocks are on the road to the Yr Hafod Youth Hostel at Nant Ffrancon, Gwynedd (off the A5 between Bethesda and Capel Curig).

After turning back from the heavily guarded border, Drake looks for an alternative route. He drives the stolen police car down a hill, which is in fact a track leading from Pont Ty'n y Maes off the A5 near Bethesda, North Wales.

The whole research centre has now been renamed ‘The International Centre for Business and Technology’ and that building was redeveloped unrecognisably a few years ago.”
