Network DVD Soundtrack - Demo Clips [Back to the homepage]
I receive many emails from Danger Man fans enquiring about the variations in the Danger Man theme tunes. People are correct when they point out that the version released in 1965 on the RCA 7” single was different to the version used on the actual series. However the NetworkDVD Soundtrack contains the actual version used and many variations, including the 'new' version heard on Koroshi and Shinda Shima. NetworkDVD have kindly given me permission to use 20 second clips of some of the tracks from their Soundtrack DVDs. Below are the samples I have selected, I hope you find these useful: Opening and Closing Theme Tunes: Opening Theme - Series 1 This is the main theme tune used in the opening credits of all the first series episodes Opening Theme - Series 2 and 3 This is the main theme tune used in the opening credits of all the fifty-minute black & white episodes Opening Theme - Series 4 Only ever used on the two colour episodes 'Koroshi' and 'Shinda Shima' Closing Theme - Series 1 This is the main theme tune used in the closing credits of all the first series episodes Closing Theme - Series 2 and 3 This is the main theme tune used in the closing credits of all the fifty-minute black & white episodes Closing Theme - Series 4 Only ever used on the two colour episodes 'Koroshi' and 'Shinda Shima' Below are a few clips heard in some of the hour-long episodes: Fish on the Hook Composed for the Minister's reception where Drake meets Nadia. Fair Exchange When Wilhelm and his men arrive at the border they see the gap in the fence and spot a woman running away. Don't Nail Him Yet The pre-credits show Dennis Rawson leaving the Admiralty and being followed on his way home. The Professionals #1 Drake attends the embassy reception. This song is entitled 'Halo' and was first originally recorded for The Saint. The Professionals #2 Still at the embassy reception, Drake talks to Joan about her husband and Kaldor claims he has a 'reputation'. The Professionals #3 Music plays around the poolside of Kaldor's luxurious home where Drake meets the bathing Ira The Professionals #4 After night falls, the party continues at the pool with Drake apparently inebriated. Another version of 'Halo'. The Professionals #5 Kaldor takes Drake in his Volkswagen to see Pearson at the clinic. It's Up To The Lady At the restaurant, Nikos joins Drake and Paula at their table. A faster version of 'Halo'. Affair at Castelevara Drake scans for bugs and turns the radio up, confounding the nearby listener. Such Men are Dangerous Miss Jackson and her girls arrive for Drake's party, with Drake giving her a report for Hobbs on the balcony. The Black Book With Serge lying dead at the boathouse, Drake departs with the black book. The Man on the Beach A singer performs a Calypso in the hotel bar. Cleo enters and Drake dances with her. The Hunting Party Drake pockets the telegram, reads the message in his room, then picks the lock on Basil's study. |
