John Drake has immobilised the submarine and taken the only boat from the island, leaving the stranded members of the gang to be collected by Scotland Yard's Special Branch at their leisure. Picked up by a fishing boat, Drake sits on the foredeck and reflects that his assignment is nearly over. He has only to find Dr. Braganza and all the pieces of the puzzle will be in place.
