There is somebody inside the nerve clinic; an armed caretaker. But John Drake has come prepared for many more than this. Out of sight in a dark doorway he slips on a gas mask, and then tosses a gas capsule to one side of the caretaker. The man turns to see what the noise is, sways - and Drake has stepped forward just in time to catch him as he crumples to the floor.
