Born Anthony Rodgers on January 10th 1933 in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, Rodgers appeared in the fifty-minute Danger Man episode 'Yesterday's Enemies' playing chief of police 'Attala' who is highly suspicious of Drake. He then worked again with McGoohan in The Prisoner episode 'The Schizoid Man' playing Number Two.
His many television appearances include The Saint, Department S, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), Jason King and Return of the Saint. In the 1980's he became a household name playing William Fields in the comedy TV series 'Fresh Fields' and again in the 1990's in 'May to December'.
Rodgers died at the age of 74 on December 1st 2007. |
