Charles Lloyd Pack was born in London on October 10th 1902. Charles played The Artist in The Prisoner episode 'It's Your Funeral', but had worked previously alongside McGoohan in three Danger Man episodes.

Lloyd Pack made his screen debut in the 1936 film The House of the Spaniard and from that point on was a regular on film, on stage or on television. Among his film credits were roles in Gift Horse, Conflict of Wings and Three Men In A Boat. Over the years he was commonly cast as a vicar, or some other pillar of the community, for example he had roles as a judge, doctor, prison governor and military men of rank. He also appeared in several Hammer horror films, including Dracula, The Man Who Could Cheat Death, The Revenge of Frankenstein and The Reptile.

On stage he was always busy and among his many roles were appearances in John Dryden's play, Marriage a La Mode, George Farquhar's play, The Beaux' Stratagem, Ronald Millar's play, The Case in Question and Luigi Pirandello's play, Six Characters in Search of An Author. On television, probably his best known role was as Professor Marks in Strange Report, but he is also known for other appearances in The Avengers, Quatermass II, The Adventures of Robin Hood and Jason King.

The father of actor Roger Lloyd Pack and grandfather of actress Emily Lloyd, Charles died, aged 81 on December 22nd 1983.
