Estate Agent Appearances in The Prisoner: Episode Title Character Name Arrival Shopkeeper Checkmate Shopkeeper Born in Dulwich on April 7th 1921, Dennis Shaw appeared in two Prisoner episodes, 'Arrival' and 'Checkmate' as the Village shop keeper. He had previously worked with McGoohan on the Danger Man episode 'Are You Going to Be More Permanent?' as the Estate agent who nearly catches Drake meeting his contact in an abandoned house. Shaw died of a heart attack on February 28th 1971, aged just 49.
