Born on August 8th 1917 in Pembroke Bermuda, Earl Cameron played The Supervisor in The Prisoner episode 'Schizoid Man', having earlier appeared in five episodes of Danger Man.
Cameron began his acting career in Basil Dearden's 1951 Ealing Studios film Pool of London. He also appeared in There is Another Sun, Simba, Sapphire, Thunderball and The Sandwich Man. On television, his many appearances include roles in Danger Man, Emergency Ward 10, Dr Who, Dixon of Dock Green, Dalziel & Pascoe and Casualty. He has recently appeared in the Christopher Nolan sci-fi drama Inception.
Cameron was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2009 Queen's New Year's Honours List for his services to Drama. |
