Born Antoinette Georgina Cookson on December 19th 1918 in Cornwall. Cookson appeared in one thirty-minute episode of Danger Man and two episodes of The Prisoner. She first appeared as an unnamed guest at Madame Engadine's party in 'A, B & C' and then as Mrs Butterworth in 'Many Happy Returns'.
Her acting career began in the 1945 George Formby film I Didn't Do It. She also appeared in The Naked Truth, A Question of Adultery, The Shakedown, Your Money or Your Wife and Darling. On television she appeared in Dixon of Dock Green, Citizen James, Maigret, The Plane Makers and Steptoe and Son.
Cookson died aged 92 on October 1st 2011. |
