Born George Gertan Klauber on March 5th 1932, Gertan appeared briefly as a thug in the fifty-minute Danger Man episode 'The Man with the Foot'. He is better known for his appearance in The Prisoner episode 'Do Not Forsake Me, Oh My Darling' as the Austrian café waiter.
Klauber's television career was vast, appearing in many TV series often playing German characters in Hadleigh, Department S, Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads, Colditz, Upstairs Downstairs, The Sweeney, Poldark, The Professionals and many more.
Klauber died on August 1st 2008, aged 76. |
