Born in London on 25th July 1921, Kevin Stoney appeared in the Danger Man episode 'Say it with Flowers, playing undertaker 'Buchler'. He worked again with McGoohan in The Prisoner episode 'The Chimes of Big Ben' playing the Colonel who is not what he appears to be.
Stoney served in the RAF during World War II and his acting career began in 1950 with an appearance in The Gentle Gunman and whilst the bulk of his roles came in television dramas, he did continue to appear in films, including, How To Murder A Rich Uncle, The White Cliffs Mystery, Cash on Demand, Return of A Stranger and Murder At The Gallop.
He appeared in many of the top television dramas throughout the 60s and 70s, including Dixon of Dock Green, Danger Man, Softly Softly, Man In A Suitcase, The Troubleshooters, Z Cars, Tomorrow People and Van Der Valk.
Stoney died of skin cancer aged 86 on January 20th 2008. |
