Born Paul Clark Eddington in London on June 18th 1927, Paul Eddington was a tall, debonair actor who achieved international success in the 1970's television series 'The Good Life'.
Eddington first worked alongside McGoohan in the fifty-minute Danger Man episode 'I am Afraid you Have the Wrong Number' as Chief of police Captain Schulman, who doesn't believe McGoohan's cover as an insurance inspector for one moment. Paul then went on to appear in the first Prisoner episode 'Arrival', playing Cobb, a former colleague of Number 6's who commits suicide.
He was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1987 Queen's Honours List for his services to drama. Unfortunately he died of skin cancer at the age of 68 on November 4th 1995. |
