Danger Man Theme Tunes  [Back to the Main Page] Edwin Astley wrote the theme tunes used on both the half-hour and fifty-minute episodes. The first series theme was simply known as the 'Theme from Danger Man' and the version used was performed by 'The Red Price Combo'. The fifty-minute episode theme was entitled 'High Wire' and was performed by Edwin Astley and his Orchestra. When shown in the USA, Danger Man was renamed to 'Secret Agent Man' and a catchy pop theme performed by Johnny Rivers was added. Over the years the theme tunes have been released by other artists, High Wire being the most covered and most popular still today. This page looks at all the known versions which have been released, but does not list all the compilation CDs on which they subsequently featured; this would be too extensive to list.
